Video Tutorials

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video is like an entire training manual.  How often have you gone to search for a "how to" on a particular topic and found yourself looking for a short video to watch rather than a page to read through?  I emphasise short as this is one of the keys to successful demonstration or tutorial videos.

Whether we like it or not,  the attention span of most people has dwindled.  The internet has created a desire in us to seek exactly what we want...  and we want it now.

You want a video on your home page that demo's your site, so users will feel comfortable using it.  It should be professional and have good production quality.  There should be music... the right music.  It should be subtle.  It should not pull focus from your message but enhance it.  I have had more than twenty years of experience in producing concise promotional spots for radio stations as well as NBC and FOX television.  Trying to convey how important it is for you to watch "Must See TV" in thirty seconds takes focus and a clear, concise message.  I can provide that for your website demo or tutorial.

My philosophy of training or demonstrating products and services via the internet is this: if you need more than 2 1/2 minutes to convey your point in a video, you need two videos with seperate topics.  You don't want a five or ten minute video (God forbid I see 20, 30, 60 minute videos on YouTube... really).  Most people will want to look at the section they want more than once.  So, don't make them hunt for it.  Make your videos short and specific and you will have a greater following.

I look forward to helping you get more hits to your site and make users excited to visit your website.
